Big Head Bob is a children's brand built around social emotional learning. It started as one signed picture book and grew into a book series, a YouTube channel with more than 270,000 subscribers, free classroom resources, and live school visits.

Bob is a boy with an oversized head. The big head stands for whatever makes a kid feel different, whether that is anxiety, anger, self doubt, or their body. The whole point of the story is that the thing you want to hide usually turns out to be your strength.

David Bradley, an author and speaker based in Las Vegas, Nevada. He drew the character years before his nephew was born, then wrote the first book to help kids feel proud of what makes them different.

SEL stands for social emotional learning. It is how children learn to name what they feel, settle themselves down, get along with other people, and keep going after something goes wrong.

Every Big Head Bob book and lesson is built around the CASEL framework, which is the model most American schools already use, so the material drops into an existing SEL block without extra work.

Orders on this site ship within the United States. If you are outside the US and want books for your school or your family, email info@bigheadbob.com and we will work out the best way to get them to you.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery, on both defective and non defective items. Anything sent back needs to be new, unused, and in its original packaging.

Exchanges are available for an item of equal value. Return shipping is the customer's cost unless the item arrived defective or wrong, and a restocking fee of 20% can apply to non defective returns. Full wording is on the refund policy page.

Yes. The picture books are written for K-5, but the talk is not. David has spoken to middle school, high school, and college audiences, and to community and corporate rooms too.

Earlier than you think. October, March, and May fill up first, and October is usually gone by the middle of September because it is Bullying Prevention Month. A couple of months of notice is comfortable for a specific week.

Yes. In person visits are quoted with travel built into the price, so there are no surprise fees afterwards.

A visit is live and interactive. Depending on the format it can include a read aloud, a live dance session, a student question and answer about art and making videos, and a collaborative art activity. Every visit includes stickers and bookmarks for every student.
